Welcome to the website dedicated to
the history of the Scottish Football League. The website traces the league's
origins and continues from its early days right up to the present. The main
thrust of the site will be a season by season retrospective charting the
changing fortunes of each participating club throughout the years. Also
recorded will be the decisions made at SFA and League committee meetings giving
insight as to why the make-up of the league changed throughout its history.
It is hoped that, when completed,
the website will become a one stop source of information covering all things to
do with the Scottish Football League, not only from a historical perspective,
but from a statistical perspective too. As you might appreciate this is a
massive undertaking so the site will be updated regularly until completion.
